Research

Our primary goal is to understand social behavior, especially in organizational contexts. In the organizational context, individuals are part of a complex net of interdependencies, and they interact with people from higher and lower hierarchical ranks. In this complex organizational context, people face goal conflicts and tensions. We are interested in how power shapes people’s cognitions and behaviors and how people deal with goal conflicts and tensions. More details about our current research projects can be found here .

Teaching

Our teaching focuses on topics related to power and leadership. It is practice-oriented and includes self-reflection exercises, leadership training, and case studies.
